About our studio
With technology at the surface of her design process and nature at the core, Selina Rose designs and makes felt interior surfaces for residential and commercial interiors.
Selina's approach is to reinvent the age old material of felt and create unique, statement, tactile interior textile surfaces that are both aesthetically beautiful and functional.
Our studio intricately cuts, folds, inlays, stitches and upholsters our 100% pure merino wool felt to produce an innovative range of felt interior surfaces. Products include acoustic panels, screens, room dividers, rugs and homewares.
Working from our Suffolk studio we supply interior designers, architects and private clients worldwide.
Our studio prides itself on sustainable design. Our felt is renewable and biodegradable and our acoustic wall panels are made using a recycled glass bottle core.
A passion for natural materials, surface pattern and sustainability is at the very heart of our ethos. We seek out and develop new, innovative textile processes to create sustainable textiles for the future.

All our products are custom made to order with the finest attention to detail throughout the design and making process. Each piece is hand finished in our Suffolk studio.

Our story
Selina Rose founded her design studio in 2005 after graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Textile and Surface Design from Bucks New University.
Over the past 15 years Selina has built a large portfolio of clients and projects, worked on several high profile commissions and has exhibited extensively at UK and international design shows, exhibitions and galleries, including V&A, Craft, PremierVision, 100% Design, Tent, Surtex and LDF.
Growing up in Cornwall within a rural farming community, Selina was intrigued by the natural textile by-products of the industry. During her BA in Textile and Surface Design she began her experimentation with natural textiles. She realised her passion for non-woven textile materials and her exploration into the manipulation of wool felt began and has evolved over the past 15 years into the current range of felt interior surfaces and products that her studio produces today.

About our felt
Our 100% wool felt is made from the highest quality pure merino wool. Available in 75 colours and 3 thicknesses.
Felt is a sustainable, renewable and 100% biodegradable material. It is also naturally moisture resistant, inherently flame retardant and known for its thermal and acoustic insulating properties.
The low impact, low energy production of felt, along with its durability and natural benefits make it a sound choice of materials for interior design and architecture.
Dating back over 5000 years, felt is thought to be the first fabric worked by humankind. It is now an ancient material with a modern aesthetic.
Renewable
As long as sheep can graze, every year they will produce a new fleece, making wool a renewable source.
Biodegradable
At the natural end of a wool product’s lifespan, wool can be safely disposed of as it is 100% biodegradable. Wool returning to the earth’s soil actually releases valuable nutrients into the ground.
Natural Insulator
As the air temperature rises and falls, heat is generated and retained within wool fibres which makes wool an excellent insulator. Used in interiors, wool felt can help to reduce energy costs and prevent energy loss, thus reducing carbon emissions.
